Let the beading begin!

I have spent the better part of my day playing with my new beads and jewelry supplies, and although some of the stuff I made is definitely for me, you can expect to see some of this stuff in my upcoming store.
What? A store? you ask. Yes! I would like to (hopefully soon) open an Etsy shop to sell my jewelry. I still have some experimenting to do, and I want to stock up some more on feathers, cord, and semi precious beads, but I am getting a start on some stock already.
Unfortunately, the main hindrance to my opening of a store is the fact that I do not own a decent camera to photograph my creations. And without I fear no one is going to be willing to buy. I am hoping to figure something out with that soon, maybe find someone who has a camera I can borrow or maybe even scrape together enough money somehow to buy my own.

But, despite my lack of a decent camera, I did get a few crappy pictures of what I made today that I would like to share, just because!

I really enjoy making earrings and when I finally open shop I will probably focus on those. Although I do like wire-wrapping stones and want to get better at it, so I will probably sell pendants like that as well. And I can't wait to get feathers for things! I personally love feathers and I know a lot of other people do, too.

That's it for now lovelies. I know I haven't done a Tumblr Tuesday or Thoughtful Thursday or anything in awhile, but I'm hoping to rectify that in the week to come. So watch for it!

How was everyone's Christmas?

I haven't updated in almost a week so I thought I would just come by and leave an update for you all. I hope everyone that celebrates it had a lovely Christmas and got all the things they've been pining after! I certainly had a good holiday and got lots of wonderful gifts. My mom bought me a ton of supplies for making jewelry that I've spent the past few days organizing and I can't wait to get creating!
I am also enjoying some new scarves, fuzzy socks, incense, necklaces, and altar pieces from my friends and family, as well as the book Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare that my boyfriend was sweet enough to get for me when he found out I didn't get it for Christmas from anyone. He's amazing like that <3

And now I am lounging in my room, debating on whether or not I want to reorganize it and sipping coffee, enjoying being away from school and homework for awhile.

I sincerely do hope everyone is doing well!

Happy Yule!

Yep, it's the Winter Solstice today (as well an my mother's birthday) aaaaaaand it's the last day of the fall semester! Yay! I am finally done with all my class work and finals and can relax for a few weeks before I get to do it all over again. I am going to a Yule celebration at my best friend's place tonight where we will exchange gifts and drink wine and do other wonderful things, uninterrupted by homework. I am so excited!

On a sadder note though, my wonderful roommate Rose is moving out and will not be rejoining me in our room next semester as she is moving into a different dorm area. Which kind of sucks. I'm worried I will get stuck with someone unpleasant, so fingers crossed that my new roommate will be at least a little bit decent.

That's all I have for now. I probably won't post again until after Christmas. Happy Holidays to everyone, I hope they are grand for you!
