Pages of Change

I like change. I know that most people don't, and although I have definitely done my share of holding onto things, when it comes down to it, I like when my life changes in some way. Despite wanting to hold on to good things forever (like any human really) I hate feeling stagnant. I don't like feeling as if I am standing still, even if I'm in a good place. I want to be moving about in some way. Forwards, sideways, upwards -as long as it's not backwards or downwards.

Sometimes the things I hold on to I do out of fear. My anxiety makes letting go of any feelings of security very difficult. It is something that I am working on. I don't want to get stuck. And I don't want to let my anxiety hold me back while the rest of the world moves forward around me. I want anxiety to be a chapter in my life that I have already read and moved away from. I want to heal and put some other stories between my present self and the story of my anxiety.

Just some random thoughts for the day. Happy Sunday loves!

  1. I love that image and quote, as well as everything you had to say about it! I feel exactly the same way. I like change but I also know that I have let my past hold me back. It's time to move on to the next chapter.

  2. I like change too, and also have anxiety ( and panic attacks). I'm still trying to move on to the next phase of my life with ease and without getting stuck on past shortcomings.

    1. Anxiety can be such a killer. It's definitely one of the hardest things I have ever had to battle. I have faith that we can fight it though :)
