Shots from my Bedroom Part II (image heavy)

I already shared a few quick pictures from my bedroom, but seeing as I now have a dresser (before my clothes were just in piles on the floor) and my room is fully put together (almost fully, I still need a throw rug) I thought I would share what it looks like.

Also, yes, these photos clearly have filters on them. The light in my room is sucky which makes the pictures grainy -the filter helps with that. Plus, it's pretty.

My bed, stuffed animals and all.
That chair is where I sit and do all my online stuff. (I have a lapdesk)
Top shelf of one of my bookcases.
Favourite poster, and very important.
I have so many sweaters on my door it's ridiculous.
Demon horns & bag with my Karma Mantra beads.
Top of my dresser.
Again, top of my dresser. Love that Lady of Shalott print.
Mirror, door, edge of bookcases. That's (one of) my hula hoop folded up against the wall.
There you have it, the space I spend most of my time in. There's still a few things I want to do, like get a rug and some new curtains (currently I just have these horrible blinds) and a few succulents but that stuff will have to wait until I have some money.

Interior Inspirations

Another post filled with beautiful interior spaces to drool over.

How dreamy is the door in that last one? I am so in love with it. I'm not sure my boyfriend would fit through it (he's 6'5") but it's just too awesome.

Studio Inspiration

I feel like I have been seeing a lot of bloggers share their studio spaces lately and it has really got me itching to organize my jewelry desk and surrounding area. I shared my own space back in June after I finally finished organizing all my books. I'm happy with most of the room but my beading supplies are a mess. I really need to organize it better so that I don't end up with such a disaster zone.

So today I am sharing studio spaces that inspire me to get my butt in gear.

This is a part of Laura's studio. I am in love with her entire space. It is so homey and well organized, and filled to the brim with inspiring materials and other objects. Laura has always been an inspiration to me -from her blog to her shops, I have always admired her and her aesthetic. (Make sure to click that link to see the rest of her studio.)

Personal Space

I am a major introvert. I enjoy spending time with friends and going out and having a good time, but I need regular space and alone time. I need the comfort of my books and my altar and the space to be inside my own head. I think it's really important to take the time to be alone and look inward, to have somewhere in your home that is just for you and that you can retreat into when you need to refresh.

Right now I am lucky enough to have a whole room just for that. We rent a three bedroom apartment -one is our room (obviously), another is kind of like a storage room that Eli likes to sleep in, and the last one is where I keep my books, my altar, my jewelry desk, and a few other bits and pieces. Today I thought I would share some pictures from my space.

Excuse the poor quality, they're phone pictures.

Some of my books.

Harry Potter & Teacups!

My snake plant (Medusa), a random pillow, and one of my hula hoops.

Where jewelry making happens. It's messy, haha.

My altar

To be honest that very last picture is from the bedroom, it's just a shot of some of the stuff stuck to my mirror. But I love that little spot in the bedroom so I wanted to share it anyways.

Do you have a personal space that is just for you? What's in it?

Interior Inspirations

Home decor I have been over-the-moon about lately.

Images found on my Pinterest Board.

I believe that your home should be your sanctuary, and extension of your soul. Making your space comfortable and a reflection of yourself is important. I look forward to owning a house one day that I can decorate and design without the restrictions of rented place.

Interior Inspirations

Honestly I'm not sure what number I'm on with these posts anymore. Oh well!

With all the shuffling of furniture and rearranging I am even more inspired than usual (and usually I'm pretty inspired) to decorate and get creative with the space we have. We won't be in this apartment too much longer, but I would like to enjoy the space while I can.

thrifty decor

As always I am drawn to the idea of a colourful, bohemian getaway with lots of different textiles in fun patterns, rich colours, lots of books, and beautiful art.

What kinds of things does your dream home have in it?
