August Goals

July was a fantastic month and I'm hoping August will be just as great. I suspect it won't be as busy but there's a nice appeal in slowing life down for the last month of summer. I will be starting my new job which will add a schedule to my life (I really haven't had one all summer, I've just been doing thins on a whim for the most part) and limit my adventures a bit. I guess that's the downfall of having a job. I'm already not sure I like it, haha. I have a major wanderlust itch though so staying still never sounds like fun. I really can't wait to graduate and have a bit more freedom to move around. I would really love to travel the country a bit.

Anyways, this is my list of goals for August. I'll check back at the end of the month and see how much I actually got done. Last month I did pretty good so I'm going to try to keep the ball rolling.

Get 2 more chapters of Runaway written.
Make a serious dent in my reading list.
Work on my art journal more.
Update the blog with 2 tarot posts.
Hoop hoop hoop!
Purge and organize the entire house.
Update both shops more than once.
Practice my Italian for next semester.

None of that should prove to be too hard. Sure, having a job takes away a bunch of my free time, but I anticipate reading and writing on my breaks. There's a tv in the break room but I really dislike watching television. there's rarely anything on interest on and I think commercials are highly obnoxious. I have no desire to be bombarded by advertisements telling me how terrible my life is if I don't do or buy certain things.  Haha, sorry if I offended any tv-watchers out there. It's just not for me.

What are your goals for the month?

  4. Hey Girl!
    Happy Lammas!
I really like your goals. Looking forward to your tarot posts. I was supposed to do tarot with my girls last night but was too stressed about moving to actually do it. :/ Which leads me to also needing to purge the house. :/
    Cheers to goals!
Hope you're having a great week

  5. Oh I love this idea! Good luck with your goals this month ♥
July was super busy for me, I'm rather looking forward to a slower, calmer August. Time to breath for sure.
